Who is the festival for?Simply put, the Lighweight Adventure Festival is home for all. If you are into travel, trail or film, you will find something at our event.
-
Will there be food and drink available on site?YES! We'll have plenty of quality food stalls for you to choose from. We'll also have a local brewer coming along with a fine selection of ales, ciders and beer. If you prefer, we'll also have a Prosecco bar (how fancy!). We also have all the water you could ever wish to drink...completely free of charge of course.
-
Can I bring any bike?YES! We buy in to the Think Light, Act Light, Travel Light principle and we actively promote this throughout the event. That doesn't mean you have to be living this life however! Feel free to bring any bike you wish.
-
When will my tickets arrive? When you purchase your tickets, you will receive a pdf with your ticket. you will need to bring this with you, digitally or printed, we don't mind.
-
Can I bring a van/campervan?Yes. The price of a live in vehicle supplement is £5. This goes to the land owner to help restore the field after the event. Camping is included regardless of your vehicle, if you bring a bike you can park it next to your tent. Cars will have to be parked in a car park a short walk from the camping area.
-
Am I able to drive on and off site during the weekend?Yes!
-
I hear there is an after party? We invite our Patreons to an after party. If you want in, you can sign up here.
-
What are the timings of the festival? You can arrive from 10am on Friday and must vacate the venue by 6pm on Sunday. Most riders make their way to the Yonderman Cafe and enjoy a group ride in with Marc and Jamie. Sign up to the newsletter for the exact timings of the ride in.
-
Are there any age restrictions? You must be aged over 15 years old to attend. We understand this may be a disappointment, but due to the nature of the event, we hope you understand.
-
Do you have disabled access and toilets?Yes! There certainly is. We have disabled toilets and the site is designed with accessibility in mind. If you have any particular needs please get in touch with lightweightadv@gmail.com and we will do everything we can to make sure you get the most out of the weekend!
-
Do you have showers? At the moment, no. Showers cost a lot of money to run and this will add a considerable amount to each ticket. Plus the impact they have on the environment (burning fuel, storing water, disposing of waste etc, ) is too great for us to warrant them. If you like you're luxuries check out our accommodation options as we are partnering with local bunk barns and B&B properties.
-
Do you offer refunds? If you change your mind we'll refund up 30th April 2025. Why? because we use every penny that comes in via ticket sales on the festival. When you buy your ticket, your money is spent practically straight away! After the 30th April we'll certainly see if we can help you resell or transfer your ticket.
-
Why are tickets limited? Its really important that our festival is a celebration of the Lightweight community, we want to be able to say hello to everyone and enjoy hearing your stories. We've been to the big festivals, they have they're place but small, intimate and friendly is what we like.
