Founded in 2022, the Lightweight Adventure Festival began as a raw, authentic gathering to celebrate travel and trail riding in its purest form. Originally intended for just 30 like-minded adventurers, it exceeded all expectations, sparking a vibrant and close-knit community.
Today, the festival has grown into a hub for travelers, adventurers, and anyone passionate about the lightweight adventure scene. Forget the luxury boutique experience – this festival strips away the frills and gets back to basics. This is what real adventure is all about!

We focus on lightweight, stripped-back travel where the experience is about the journey, not the size of your bike or the gear you carry. We also invite families, friends, and non-riders to join the fun. There’s something here for everyone, regardless of experience.
How it works
Your festival ticket gives you full access to all the talks, workshops*, test rides, and entertainment throughout the weekend. Camping is included in your ticket price, so you can stay right at the heart of the action. For those preferring a little more comfort, we’ve partnered with local accommodations like Hulmes Vale Cottages, just a short walk from the event site.
Whether you're coming solo, with friends, or as a family, the Lightweight Adventure Festival is your gateway to a world of exploration, connection, and unforgettable experiences.
